Privacy
BodyArcade is made by Peak Apps Studio. This page explains, in plain language, what the game does with your data. If you have a question, email peakappsstudios@gmail.com.
Your camera
When you allow camera access, the video is processed in your browser by an on-device pose detection model (MediaPipe Pose). It turns each frame into body landmarks such as hips, shoulders and head, which the game uses to detect jumps, squats, ducks and leans. Camera frames are never uploaded, recorded or stored, by us or anyone else. You can play without a camera using the keyboard.
What is stored on your device
Your player name, body weight (used for calorie estimates), settings, run history, achievements, daily run count and Pro status are kept in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data removes them. We can't see or recover them.
What is sent to our servers
- Leaderboard runs. When you finish a run, the game posts the name you chose, your score, distance, estimated calories, best combo, world and difficulty to our leaderboard database (hosted by Supabase). These entries are public. Use a nickname if you prefer.
- Live races. While you're in a live lobby, your chosen name and in-race progress are shared in real time with the other players in that lobby.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and a few actions, such as pressing Play. Plausible doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect personal data.
Payments
Pro and Lifetime purchases are processed by Gumroad. We don't receive or store your card details. Gumroad's own privacy policy applies to the checkout.
Music
If you choose to open the Spotify player in the game, Spotify's embedded player loads from Spotify and their privacy policy applies.
Children
BodyArcade doesn't ask for accounts, email addresses or real names. Parents may want to help younger players choose a nickname for the public leaderboard.
Changes
If the way BodyArcade handles data changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
